The Mackintosh House is a meticulous re-assemblage of the interiors of Charles Rennie Mackintosh’s home in Glasgow. Here he lived with his wife, the artist Margaret Macdonald Mackintosh, from 1906 to 1914.

The house stood only 100 meters away from its current reconstruction in the Hunterian Art Gallery, part of the Hunterian Musuem at the University of Glasgow. While the exhibition usually charges an admission price, you know have the chance to experience the interiors of the Mackintosh home for free, and from the comfort of your own home! The virtual tour will guide viewers around the reconstruction, and is a perfect opportunity to experience (or re-experience) the Hunterian Art Gallery’s permanent exhibition.
