With the longer daylight hours and warmer climates on the horizon, this month we look ahead to what Glasgow has to offer visitors and residents this Spring.
As host city for the European Athletics Indoor Championships, Glasgow is once again in the spotlight as a leading Sports City. Whether you prefer to take part in the Resolution 5K, 10K or 15K race at Glasgow Green this March or prefer to explore the BodyWorks Exhibition at Glasgow Science Centre there are many sporting experiences to get involved in across the city.
Glasgow International Comedy Festival returns from 14th – 31st March with 506 shows across 54 venues in 18 days. Check out details of our member venues taking part in the festival at Celtic Park, The Hunterian and The Tall Ship on our events page here
St Patrick’s Day 2019 is just around the corner and the City is looking forward to celebrating for the weekend. Glasgow St Patrick’s Festival Family Fun Day is a day of celebration with music, song and dance at Merchant Square. The event is free to attend and includes balloon modelling to keep the kids entertained.
We round off March celebrating the most important woman in all of our lives, Sunday 31st March is Mother’s Day. Treat the special lady in your life with an afternoon tea at Willow Tea Rooms, a Whisky and Chocolate Tour at Glengoyne Distillery or lunch in the Bavarian Restaurant at Soar at Intu Braehead followed by some retail therapy. Whatever your Mum enjoys most, you are bound to find the perfect gift and experience in Glasgow this March.
However you choose to spend this month in Glasgow we hope you have a fabulous time and don’t forget to tag us in your pictures across the city!
