Sweeney‘s Cruise Company Loch Lomond have unveiled a stunning new vessel to their fleet.
The vessel named Avocet, after the bird, measures 27 meters long and 7 meters wide. It will be the largest vessel on Loch Lomond, overtaking their current largest vessel, M.V. Astina and will have a capacity of 170-180 passengers.  This new boat will be used for Sweeney‘s daily sightseeing cruises, as well as special event cruises.
The boat’s journey began by getting craned onto a container ship in Rotterdam, then its final journey was a sail from Amsterdam, before reaching Dumbarton and arriving in Balloch, then craned in.
Commenting on the new vessel, owner John Sweeney, said:  “”We’re delighted to be able to offer our customers this stunning new vessel, Avocet, which will allow us to take our service to the next level. The vessel will allow us to accommodate more passengers for our daily cruises and will be used for charters and special event cruises.” For further information and to book your place on Avocet:
