Mother’s Day 2020 falls on Sunday, 22nd of March. We’ve collected a few nice spots you might want to visit with your mother, to celebrate and treat her! Got a fun mum? Why not take her out to one of the many events for Glasgow Comedy Festival? Otherwise, keep reading for some classic Mother’s Day recommendations to spend in Glasgow!

Mother’s Day Brunch Spots

Nothing beats a classic Mother’s Day brunch, and Glasgow is a city full of quaint cafés and classy tearooms. For some classic tea and scones, book a table at The Willow Tea Rooms and enjoy the view of Buchanan St – perfect to either begin or end a shopping spree in City Centre (check out our offers for 10% off your food bill!). For a smaller spot, hidden away in a side street in West End, go to Sonny & Vito’s Deli Café. The deli serves up lunch and dessert in a quaint and cosy atmosphere. For another post-shopping spree lunch, Princes Square is offering a three-course Mother’s Day meal in their courtyard. The courtyard will be transformed into a secret garden and feature live music as well!

Kelvingrove Art Gallery Main Hall
A trip to the Kelvingrove for Mother’s Day is fun for both adults and children!

Glasgow Culture Trips

Looking for something slightly different to do than tea and shopping? Why not visit Kelvingrove Art Gallery for art and, if weather permitting, a walk in the park for a calm day out. For an evening treat, why not take a visit to one of the many Glasgow Comedy Festival events? For a full overview, see their website. But if you don’t mind delaying the date for a few days, see Arabella Weir at the Oran Mor. The show takes place on the Tuesday and Wednesday after, and is “for everyone who’s had a mother or been a mother”.
