Where better to celebrate February, the month of love and Valentines, than our great city of Glasgow. One of the top UK food destinations with so many amazing restaurants and bars to choose from, Glasgow has the metropolitan feel of an international city but the friendliness and hospitality of a village…living up to our city’s motto that People Make Glasgow! Whether you celebrate Valentine’s Day or not, here are our favourite romantic spots.
Best spots for a romantic dinner in Glasgow

Our restaurants and bars have something for all tastes, whether you want an intimate dining experience or a night with all your favourite people together! So whether you enjoy traditional Scottish fayre, Italian, Mexican, American, Indian, Spanish or Asian food we have it all. Our favourites include:
For that extra special night, then the Dakota Deluxe Hotel is a top tip! Start of in the bar where “in no uncertain terms, cocktails provide a means of expression” – the perfect setting for the love of your life. Enjoy dinner in the Grill, choosing from steaks cooked simply over hot coals, fish prepared to perfection, delicious starters and desserts. How about something different for Valentine’s Day in Glasgow?
Looking to do something a bit different then how about a visit to Clydeside Distillery and enjoy one of the many different tours on offers. So many to choose from – but we love the Chocolate & Whisky Tour. During the tour, you’ll discover so many amazing facts about the birth of the whisky industry and Glasgow’s history. The best bit, of course, is the tasting! Savour 5 carefully selected drams of Single Malt Whisky with each one perfectly paired with its own artisan chocolate – the perfect day out for your Whisky loving partner.
Of course, getting around the city couldn’t be easier with our friendly drivers from Glasgow Taxis who are always more than happy to get you to where you need to be – all with a smile and plenty of Glasgow banter!
Feeling guilty about leaving the children?
How about a family day out?
A Glasgow Valentine’s doesn’t have to exclude the kids – take them along for a sweet family day out. Why not spend a few hours with the kids at Kelvingrove Museum (free entry) and then pop along to one of the many cafes and restaurants on Argyle Street in Finnieston for a bit to eat. Don’t fancy leaving the museum, no problem, there is a café and a restaurant on site.
Looking to go a bit further afield, then take a trip down to Sea Life Loch Lomond – the kids will love helping Professor Finn find the missing sharks’ teeth to become a Jawsome Shark Ranger! During your visit you can also take in a feed or two – see how fast the sharks swim, find out what a Seahorse eats and how many fish it takes to satisfy a hungry shark!
Whatever your plans are, have a great month!
