Glengoyne Distillery has been described as Scotland’s most beautiful distillery – and rightly so. Nestled below the picturesque Campsie hills, just 40 minutes drive from Glasgow and Stirling and close to Loch Lomond, this traditional, hard-working distillery has been producing a unique selection of award winning Highland Single Malt whiskies since 1833.
Glengoyne is open all year for guided distillery tours, whisky tastings, malt master sessions, masterclasses, and unique events.
The colourful characters, some of whom have been working with the distillery for over 30 years, give guests an insight into the techniques that make Glengoyne Highland Single Malt Whisky so unique. These resident experts tempt visitors to sample a dram on the distillery tours and by prior arrangement can show them how to create their very own, unique Glengoyne Highland Single Malt Scotch Whisky.
Glengoyne Distillery is proud to offer the most comprehensive range of distillery tours in Scotland. The Glengoyne tour, Wee Tasting tour, Whisky and Chocolate Matching and The Gold Medal Parade run on the hour every day. We recommend booking in advance.
For those looking to get more hands-on, why not try your hand at creating your very own Glengoyne Single Malt Whisky on the unique Malt Master Tour. The No.1 Warehouse tour allows you to dip two casks and bottle your favourite straight from the cask and for the real whisky enthusiast there is the full day Masterclass. These tours must be booked in advance.
To get to Glengoyne, the no.10 bus runs from Buchanan Bus Station in Glasgow and stops at the gates of Glengoyne Distillery.
£11.50-£155 per person depending on the choice of tour.
Concession rates available. No charge for under 18s.
We recommend booking in advance for all of our distillery tours but it is essential for the Malt Master, No.1 Warehouse and Masterclass tours and for groups of 10 or more.
UPDATE ON RE-OPENING: Glengoyne Distillery Shop reopens on Monday 5th April 2021, and the Distillery Tasting Experiences will resume on Monday 17th May 2021.
