Filled with fun, excitement and inspiration, Glasgow Science Centre is filled with over 400 interactive science exhibits and experiments. Try the egg drop challenge, compete to make the best land yacht or give computer coding a go – we have something here for all the family…
Get Hands On in the Science Mall
Unlike many museums there’s hardly a glass box in sight – we’re all about rolling your sleeves up and having a go. Interactivity is everything for us here and each of our exciting exhibits shows off an aspect of science, as well as being a whole heap of fun.
Explore the amazing BodyWorks exhibition on Floor three, on Floor two Powering the Future examines and explains the challenges and opportunities brought about by our energy hungry lifestyles, whilst ‘my World of Work’ explores the links between science, industry, careers and aptitudes. Floor One is home to the ‘Big Explorer’ (for people lucky enough to be 7 or under) as well as the Space Zone and our illusion zone which will bend your mind, A Question of Perception. We have big plans for Floor 1 over the coming years with a new addition, the Explore! Gallery, so watch this space.
Connect with the Cosmos in our Planetarium
Leave Earth and fly through the rings of Saturn or visit the dark side of the moon! The technology of the Planetarium contains a dataset of the entire known universe using images from NASA and other space agencies, letting us navigate at free will through it’s enormity. Altogether an amazing experience!
There’s nowhere else in Glasgow to get this experience, so make sure you fit a trip to the planetarium into your itinerary. If you don’t have time to visit both GSC and the planetarium, you can see a standalone show – don’t miss out.
